Artists' Mesh Up! is a monthly event for young Brum artists of all flavours to meet, learn, share, discuss & 'ave a bit o' fun together in a relaxed & welcoming space.

For this month's installment, you are invited to...

~ Take part in a free creative workshop led by artist Hannah Brown. You will explore various drawing methods to create designs onto acetate. Feel free to bring along a few images you'd like to work from (preferably A4). All other materials will be provided. ** Please arrive by 7.30pm to take part in workshop.**

~ Play a selection of mashed-up, rule-bending board games if you fancy a bit of competitive creativity! Expect 'Insurrectionary Chess' (one player plays as both black & white pawns/peasants, whilst the other plays as the establishment forces from the centre of the board), 'Who Am I?' (using the same board & premise of 'Guess Who', this version takes us beyond physical appearances to make guesses based on the imagined lifestyles & personalities of the characters on your chosen cards), and more. Feel free to bring along your own games too (mashed-up or not)!

~ Eat some free food in the form of a light summery buffet. Please let us know if you'd like to bring along a dish (much appreciated).

~ View the 'Shifting Structures' exhibition in its last week, https://www.thegapartsproject.co.uk/exb-shifting-structures

~ And as always, share your ideas for shaping future Artist Mesh Ups & hear about various opportunities at The GAP, including studio space, holding your own exhibition, selling your craft items in our shop, volunteering, and more.

Accessibility note: Unfortunately our basement space is currently only accessible via a flight of stairs.
