"Birmingham Community Matters are an organisation that support people who have an idea about a community or voluntary project, or are already running one that need a little support with a problem they are having, or need help to get them to the next stage. That might be with things like funding, organisational support like constitutions or bank accounts, governance, legal stuff and anything else that they might need that is relevant to running a community organisation. 

"We run 'surgeries' which are informal drop in sessions where people get one to one support from peers who have some experience with running a community or voluntary group. It's very relaxed atmosphere, people come in, explain what they want help with and are paired with someone in the room that can provide that support."
