It is said that we all have a subconscious ‘Shadow Self’ that we either acknowledge or deny.

In this workshop, get to know your own ‘Shadow Self’, bring it to life in 2D and create artwork that depicts and explores how this Shadow Self interacts (or copes) with the world in different ways. You will draw and shade artwork tinged with dark humour and even exorcise a few demons while you’re at it.

The workshop will be led by Oliver Hassell, a self-taught Birmingham-based artist whose two-week debut solo exhibition, SHADOWS, is open at The GAP Arts Project between 23rd January - 6th February 2020.
