In his first solo exhibition, Katharsis (purification through art) chronicles the lived experience with mental health of Amarno Inai. Through a series of illustrations, it marks key periods from dealing with depression and anxiety to self-actualization through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and spiritual guidance.

The exhibition explores how art can be used to draw out these turbulent emotions and inner conflicts which often cannot be explained through words.

Amarno Inai’s work not only seeks to bring an end to a chapter in his own life but to bring revelation and healing to black men and the wider community through the arts.
