Paintings by Osama Rahmani

27th August – 28th September

Osama Rahmani is a young Iranian artist who has recently moved to Balsall Heath. This exhibition shows two collections of work.

The first is the result of studying on classical paintings and colour. Using acrylic paint, he creates expressive modern versions of classical paintings by artists such as Caravaggio, El Greco and Gioacchino Assereto.

His other paintings are emotional responses to the political and social struggles involved in the lives of all people from his society. For example, the painting Guerrilla shows his strong emotions about the unjustified situation that was going on between Rojava and ISIS terrorists
