This book shares a collection of self-portraits that were created during the first lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 in response to an open call from The GAP Arts Project.

These art works, by people of all ages and locations across the UK, use the power of the self-portrait to reflect on some of the varied experiences of living through this unprecedented time of self-isolation and social distancing, collectively presenting a snapshot of a moment defined by confusion, contradiction and crisis.
