GALLERY

The GAP Gallery hosts a regularly changing programme of exhibitions that each focus on one of the following:

1) Documentation and creative outcomes of our own projects;

2) Exhibitinig work by local young artists, with an emphasis upon first-time solo exhibitions and prioritising those who face structural inequality in the field;

3) Sharing work by established professional artists that has content that is interesting and relevant to young people, the local community and/or our programme of work.

All exhibitions are always free for everyone to attend.

EVENTS

We run a varied programme of cultural events for all members of the local community to enjoy.

Events range from live performance of theatre, music, poetry and film screenings, to creative workshops, socials, public talks, community conversation dinners, social events and more. Some are produced in-house, whilst the rest we host on behalf of others. Regardless, our events programme always strives to reflect our mission and values.

They are always either free or low cost to attend.

CAFE

Our community café offers nutritious, good-value-for-money food in an inclusive and welcoming environment at the heart of our venue. It acts as a hub for both individuals and groups to meet, socialise, work and converse, as well as catering to the needs of our Events Programme and inspiring our food-based projects. It operates as a significant interface between the community and the creative work of The GAP.

All café proceeds go towards the running costs of THE GAP ARTS PROJECT charity.

SPACE TO BE

We understand that safe public space is a much-needed but scarce resource. That's why every weekday between 2 - 4pm our venue is available for grassroots and community groups to use for free for self led activities on a regular basis. This could be for support groups, reading groups, language groups and so much more!

If this sounds like something you could make use of then get in touch.
