Our Vision
Our vision is for generations of young people to use creativity to know, navigate and challenge an increasingly uncertain and complex world.
Our Mission
We offer Young People freedom to explore what matters to them
in the world and the tools to imagine a meaningful future.
We facilitate creative, cultural and collective learning that develops empathy, responsibility, critical thinking and leadership.
Our home in Balsall Heath provides a flexible space for experimentation and collaboration and an inclusive and nurturing environment for us to share with our core communities.
Our Values
Solidarity
Solidarity is the practice of justice in action: action in the time of the now. It is a commitment to defending each other and to the future.
Solidarity in Action: By staying alive to injustice happening in the world, both locally and globally, particularly to that which affects Young People, we are able to provide space and resources for dialogue, organising and action: such as our Palestine Solidarity Breakfasts, bystander intervention training, maintaining long-term relationships with oppressed communities and using the venue for organising, post-demonstration rest and grief spaces.

Humility
The practice of humility lies in understanding that each person’s unique life experiences, knowledge and choices are of no greater or lesser importance than anyone else’s. It is to de-center ourselves from the world, to respect difference, and to open ourselves up to listening and learning from others and from the natural world.
Humility In Action: We practice humility with empathy and kindness, and with rigour. We recognise that part of being human is to be on a lifelong process of learning. That is why our team, programme, venue and other parts of the organisation have been, and continue to be, open to reflection and adaptation based on ongoing critical thinking. We hold ourselves, each other and our work accountable.

Possibility
Contrary to social expectations and constraints, every young person embodies a wealth of possibility. The greater the constraints, the greater the need for unlocking imagination and creativity as tools for recognising and embracing potential.
Possibility in action: Our pedagogical approach aims to ignite a sense of possibility in the minds and lives of young people. By learning to face the unknown with curiosity, continually asking ‘What if…?’, expanding the limits of their imaginations, and valuing experimental processes over fixed outcomes, young people come to understand that their lives are hugely meaningful and of value, and that they can choose to live them in a way that contributes to the better future they deserve.
